Reprints

SMP is planning on marketing the reprint of Loki's Parrot next to Green Eggs and Ham.

This makes me want to redesign the illustrations. The pencil-sketch backgrounds that are there now were kinda whipped off because I had a looming deadline. I don't know why, I had plenty of time at the beginning but then I wasn't satisfied with anything and kept doing more takes, I guess. I gave that approach up for Best Friends because I wrote and illustrated that in 4 days.

(THAT will never happen again!)

If I'm going to be paired with Dr. Seuss I should at the very least make an effort at a more interesting background. Even the verbally minimalist Goodnight Moon has book covers and a mouse to look at.

Right now I'm feeling a trifle unworthy.

You know what else, I think it would be a good idea if all of us SMP authors with blogger-blogs could X-post to the main SMP blog if we're talking about the biz. It would be all in one feed that way. Who's with me?

Well, maybe Alex wouldn't be into it, being an alien and everything, but Lori, possibly? I'd like to see how she's coming along.
